We are excited to announce an upcoming event in partnership with the Connecticut Freemasons to help serve our patients, and have some fun too! On Saturday, September 30th from 9AM to 1PM we will be at our office registering children with the CT CHIP program (which stands for the Connecticut Child Identification Program). The CT CHIP program is a comprehensive child identification tool designed to give families a measure of protection against the ever increasing problem of missing children. A missing child is a horrific event we hope none of our families will ever experience, but we are eager to provide our patients with instrumental tools to help recover them safely if necessary.
Each child will leave the event with a “Purple Pack” – which includes a DVD interview of the child, a digital photo, fingerprints, a dental impression, and a cheek DNA swab. All of these materials will be given to the parent to go home with and none will remain property of Sweet Tooth or the Freemasons. To date the CT CHIP program has held over 350 events and has provided the parents of more than 40,000 children with identification packets, and we’re hoping to add some Sweet Tooth patients to the list in a few weeks.
In addition to organizing the event to provide a service to our patients, we are also looking forward to having a lot of FUN with everyone too! There will be face painting, balloon animals, plenty of snacks and beverages, as well as raffle prizes and goodie bags for all the children who participate. The event is completely free of charge, and patients and non-patients are all welcome to stop by!
Thanks to the Freemasons for helping us put together this event, and we can’t wait to see all of you on Saturday, Sept 30th!! Please contact our office if you have any questions. Here are the details again:
